HOT CHA CHA...I'M BACK IN 2007!
Ok, so I have lots o' catching up to do. I'll just give you the quick review:CHRISTMAS: Was spent at my sisters' house in Hamilton. I initially fought against that because the holidays have always been at my parent's home, but it was a fairly pleasant day. We had brunch and opened presents. Not everyone was as thrilled with my home-made paintings as I thought they'd be. I thought for sure that my brother would LOVE his, but he didn't...although he was a trooper and tried hard to mask his apathy for the painting.
NEW YEAR'S EVE: Was spent at my friend Susan's house playing board games, drinking wine, and eating chinese food. It was a quiet night, but a good one.
BOYFRIEND STATUS: Ah yes. Things have changed dramatically over the past few weeks. I put a personal ad online and it was answered by someone who lives THE FLOOR BELOW ME. We had no idea until we started talking that we lived so close. We met, hit it off, and I've been seeing him a few weeks now. He's incredibly hot. So hot that I'm continually asking myself what he's doing with me. But recently he and I have clashed on some things and I think I may need to end it. While he's very nice, we're pretty much exact polar opposites. He's very reserved and business-oriented. I'm...well, not.
WEIGHT PROGRESS: I was a gigantic pig over the holidays and stopped going to Weight Watchers. I therefore gained back the 11.8 lbs I had lost. I started again last week, so hopefully I'll get back on track.
NEW PHOTOS: We NEED to get the cover for our cd done YESTERDAY, so we set up a new photo shoot with my awesome friend Michael Bilotta of Shibboleth Pictures. Despite being a giant porker right now and being completely disgusted with my physical being, I love, love, love the photos he took of me and the rest of the band:
I love this picture! Not only that, but there's several more like it that I love. He's totally in tune to my weight sensitivity and doesn't balk when I request certain angles or looks that I know flatter me. He's also just a hella lot of fun to be around, so it makes taking photos even more enjoyable. There's a whole bunch more uploaded on my flickr account, so if you scroll down to the left and click on the box, you can see the handsome boys in my band too!
Those are just a sample of what he did...and they all just look so fabulous. He was going for a "Rat-Pack" feel, old school glamour kind of thing. I think it works well for us, and I'm just so pleased with the samples...I can't wait to see the rest!
Anyhow, just a quick update on things. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and I wish the best for everyone in 2007!
