Best. Show. EVER!
Sometimes the planets and stars align just so that you have an evening unlike any other. That was last night at the Amazing Things Arts Center.
I don't even think I can put into words how unbelievable the show was...but I'll try:
We had a full house, and the venue was really cool. Really bright artwork everywhere, nice stage lighting, and great sound. Not to sound too new age-y, but there was a vibe and energy in the room that was just amazing.
A cute all-female high school group called Cloud 9 opened for us. Of course, all of them had crushed on Ben, Dan, and Shah, and I ended up having to make an announcement from the stage that I needed some boy groupies because I was part of the group too. lol They DID look hot, though, so I couldn't blame those high school girls. Ben even got asked to a prom! So Marcia Brady/Davey Jones.
We did two 45 min sets and we always have a fear that people will leave during the break. Not a single person left - everyone stayed to the end. We were REALLY funny all night and just ON. People were laughing, singing, and whoopin' it up with us all night. At the end, we got an encore and everyone in the room got up and danced to "Freedom". It was a great way to end the night.
We even ended up getting pre-orders on our soon to be released CD!
It was the kind of night that can only be described as magical. Everything worked. Even when we made big mistakes - we covered so quickly and laughed at ourselves that the audience had no choice but to laugh with us. I was laughing and smiling all night...we all were.

There is NOTHING better than making great music with great friends. And it was nothing short of AMAZING.

Aww, thanks gals! It was a really great time and the pictures ARE quite funny. Our green room was the booking agents office, and for some reason he had a mannequin in there. The thing had NIPPLES!
